Timothy Stubbs Hughes (director)
Timothy is an experienced producer, director, and theatre dramaturg. He originally trained as an actor and went on to study theatre direction at Goldsmiths College. Highlights have included working with the Russian director Genrietta Yanovskaya of the Moscow Theatre of Young Spectators, and a three-month placement at The Market Theatre in South Africa under the direction of Claire Stopford.
His recent work has included the World Premiere of bodies unfinished by Lewis Hetherington (Jack Studio Theatre), nominated for 5 Off-West End awards including Best New Play and Best Production and The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov, in a new translation by Patrick Miles (White Bear Theatre).
Alesya Bolotina (designer)
Alesya graduated in 2011 as a set designer for stage and screen from Wimbledon College of Art. Over the past4 years she has worked on various films, theatre productions and animations; she has designed sets, made models and set dressed.
The beginning of her career was in 2008 at The Maddrmarket Theatre Company in Norwich. There she assisted the head carpenter with building sets for the plays Art, Funny Money and Hay Fever. During her university years in 2010, Alesya collaborated with animation students from the London College of Communication on the film Sunrise and then later in the year she worked in the art department at Ealing Studios on Johnny English Reborn. Only last year, Alesya was a set dresser and an animator on Sons of Atom, a film made by an independent studio.
Her most recent project as an artistic director was Unfinished by students at Goldsmiths University.
Katherine Lowry (lighting designer)
Katherine is a freelance lighting designer and production electrician based in London. She graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2007 with an honours degree in English Literature and History. Katherine has lit extensively for the Maddermarket Theatre Company in Norwich. Credits include: Medea, Mark Ravenhill’s Citizenship, The Musicians, The Miracle, The Exam, and A Dream Play (all for the Youth Theatre). Hayfever, Top Girls, The Killing of Sister George, Death and the Maiden, Ira Levin’s Death Trap, Lady Windermere’s Fan, I Am A Camera and Toad of Toad Hall (all for the Main Company). Katherine has also lit Mid—–Night’s Dream (The Effort–The Space, Docklands), Aloft of Dragons (Norwich Dragon Festival–Dragon Hall) and most recently, Natalya Umanska Presents: Le Theatre de Decadence (UK tour) and bodies unfinished (Jack Studio Theatre). www.katherinelowry.co.uk
Emily Cook (sound designer and composer)
Millie is a freelance sound designer, and runs her company mbcsound from Twickenham, distributing effect and music packages to numerous companies in the UK and Europe. Recent design credits include: bodies unfinished (Grey Swan, Jack Studio Theatre), Peace Week (LillyWoot Pictures), Mad Women in Attics and Office Space (Barefaced Theatre, Wimbledon Studio), The Cherry Orchard (Grey Swan, White Bear Theatre, Kennington), This is How it Goes (Kings Head, Islington) 24 Hour Plays (Uppercut Films, Old Vic) Six Characters in Search of an Author (City of London), Oh! What a Lovely War! (Student Workshop), Our Countries Good (Sans Walk Project, Clerkenwell Tunnels).
Millie is the founder of mbcsound, a company dedicated to creating bespoke sound design, and is also a member of the technical team at the Mary Wallace Theatre in Twickenham. She is also a private music teacher. www.mbcsound.co.uk
Jude Malcomson (stage manager)
Jude graduated in 2011 from the Stage Management and Technical Theatre at the Academy of Live & Recorded Arts. Jude’s previous experience includes Stage Manager on Grey Swan’s The Cherry Orchard (White Bear Theatre), ASM / Follow Spot Operator for Cinderella (Hertford Theatre); Venue Technician at TheSpaceUK (Edinburgh Festival Fringe) and two years assisting at Helen O’Grady Children’s Drama Academy, Sheffield.
